A: No. It is 100% inherent — the para-aramid molecule itself is non-flammable (LOI >28%). There is no chemical treatment to degrade. Protection lasts the entire service life of the fabric.
Q: Para-aramid vs meta-aramid — which should I choose?
A: Para-aramid offers 3–5× higher tensile strength and far superior cut resistance. Choose para-aramid when you need combined cut + heat protection. Meta-aramid is better suited for pure thermal-only applications.
